Brief Biographical details
Harvey Rands BSc. Hons, Solicitor
Harvey Rands read Philosophy & Physics at The City University. He is a Partner of Memery Crystal LLP. In 1991, he and his wife, Anne, and other parents formed the charity that operates St. Mary's School. He has been Chair of the Trustees since 2005 and is a co-opted member of the governing body. His four children all attended St. Mary's.
Marion Jeffrey BA Hons (Cantab)
Marion Jeffrey read History at Newnham College, Cambridge. She has been a Trustee since 1995, a governor since 1999 and Chair of Governors since 2002. She sits on all three sub committees of the governing body. Her three sons all attended St Mary's.
Patrick Minns AA Dip. RIBA
Patrick Minns has his own architectural practice. He has family connections with the school going back to the 1950s and was one of the original group that re-founded St Mary's School as a charitable trust in 1992, when he became a governor. He has been a Trustee since 2003.
Kevin Murphy MA (Oxon)
Kevin Murphy read Modern History at Keble College, Oxford. His subsequent career has been spent in the City. In 1999 he and three colleagues founded Indigo Capital LLP, which provides mezzanine financing for European businesses. He was appointed a Trustee in 2007.
Keith Wilkins CPA
Keith Wilkins was born in the United States, where he qualified as a Certified Public Accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1974. He is a Director at J. Walter Thompson. He has been an ex officio governor since 2000, when he became Treasurer. He is Chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee. His two daughters attended St Mary's.
Philip Dougall BSc (Econ), MBA
Philip Dougall was educated at the London School of Economics and New York University. He has worked in the finance sector throughout his career and is currently with Hudson Capital Partners. He was appointed a governor in 2007 and is a member of the Finance and General Purposes Committee. His three children all attended St Mary's.
Elizabeth Evans BA Hons, Dip Arch, RIBA
Elizabeth Evans qualified as an architect at Oxford Brookes University and the University of Westminster. She has her own practice, Evans Lane Architects. She was appointed a governor in 2006 and is Chair of the Health and Safety Committee. Her two daughters were educated at St Mary's.
Amelia Granger MA (Oxon)
Amelia Granger studied Modern Languages at St. Hugh's College Oxford. She has pursued a career in film and has worked for Working Title Films as a creative executive since 1994. Her three children have all attended St Mary's.
Sr. Patricia Harriss CJ, BA Hons, London
Sr Patricia Harriss is Superior of the Hampstead community of the CJ. She was Headmistress of St Mary's School, Cambridge from 1972 to 1977. She has been involved in many aspects of education both in Britain and overseas throughout her religious life. Sr Patricia was appointed a governor in 2007.
Susan McCarron MA (Cantab) Solicitor of the Senior Courts of
England and Wales
Susan McCarron read Modern and Medieval Languages at Newnham College, Cambridge and practised as a solicitor at Theodore Goddard. She was appointed a governor in 2010 and is a member of the Health and Safety Committee. Her two daughters have both been educated at St Mary's.
Deirdre Rowe MA, PGCE, CCRS, NPQH
Deirdre Rowe read Music at Trinity College Dublin and has spent her career in education. From 2007 to 2010 she was Diocesan Director of Education in the Diocese of Leeds and in September 2010 she was appointed Academic Deputy Head of St Leonard's-Mayfield School, Sussex. She was appointed a governor in 2010 and is a member of the Education and Staffing Committee.
Catherine Spinner Cert Ed. RSA Dip Sp Ld, NPQH
Catherine Spinner joined St Mary's as a teacher in 1992 and became Deputy Headmistress in 1999. Since 2002 she has been Headmistress of the Ilford Ursuline Preparatory School. She was appointed a governor in 2005 and is Chair of the Education and Staffing Committee. Mrs Spinner is the Learning Support and Early Years governor and the governor with responsibility for Safeguarding/Child Protection.
