Success! Mrs Connor-Earl’s 106km Isle of Wight Challenge

Huge congratulations to Mrs Connor-Earl for completing the 106KM Isle of Wight Challenge in a very impressive 22 hours and 36 minutes! This time was 9 minutes faster than last year’s challenge, despite the walk being 6km longer.

I found this challenge extremely tough, but the incredible donations from the St Mary’s pupils, parents and parish buoyed my resilience and helped to keep me going through the night. Watching the sunrise from the clifftop was breathtaking and made the blisters, stiff muscles and lack of sleep all worthwhile.

Thank you so much to everyone for their support and generosity. I was inspired to complete the walk when I was told by Little Village, the School’s charity, that their free accommodation was no longer going to be available. They now have new premises which increases their outgoings to £1,000 a month while also continuing to support 70 families across North London who are living below the poverty line. I’m absolutely overjoyed that we’ve raised well over £2,000 for the children in our community who need our help.

Little Village opened its Camden branch in early 2017. Its goal is to provide good quality baby clothes and equipment to local families. Founded by a group of local parents, the charity is run as an entirely voluntary enterprise.

Welcome to St Mary’s School, Hampstead

Our school strives to nurture an active partnership between home, school, parish, and the wider North London community. Situated in one of London’s most affluent and scenic areas, our school is an excellent choice for families in North London who want their daughters to receive a premier education in a safe, nurturing, and inspiring locale.

“Our St Mary’s Way is the spirit by which we live: to treat other people as you would like to be treated, to do your best to be your best, to be honest and truthful, to listen to each other, to be kind and helpful, to forgive, and to share.”
