School Clubs

We are proud to run over 40 clubs each week, taking place throughout the school day. From Upper School Choir to our EYFS Construction Club, Gymnastics to Young Marketers, pupils go home each day feeling fulfilled and with a love for learning. Extra-curricular activity is as important as classroom learning – a St. Mary’s girl will be very tired after her busy day.

Most of our clubs are run internally by school staff and are free of charge. We do also play host to several external club providers where are charge is incurred. These currently include Ballet, Code Cadets, Fencing, Chess and M-Tech.

We publish the full club timetable at the start of each term, so that families can choose which clubs they would like to attend. The timetable is adaptable throughout the year, inspired by demand, thoughts and wishes of our girls, and availability.

Our extra-curricular clubs offer a wealth of benefits that enrich our girls’ education. Art and Music clubs enhance creativity, self-expression, and appreciation of the arts while building self-confidence. Sports clubs promote teamwork, wellbeing, and fitness. Technology clubs provide valuable skills in coding and robotics, preparing children for lifelong learning and understanding the digital world. These clubs foster skill development in critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork. They complement academic learning with engaging and practical activities, encourage social interaction by mixing with peers from other years, and build confidence.

Welcome to St Mary’s School, Hampstead

Our school strives to nurture an active partnership between home, school, parish, and the wider North London community. Situated in one of London’s most affluent and scenic areas, our school is an excellent choice for families in North London who want their daughters to receive a premier education in a safe, nurturing, and inspiring locale.

“Our St Mary’s Way is the spirit by which we live: to treat other people as you would like to be treated, to do your best to be your best, to be honest and truthful, to listen to each other, to be kind and helpful, to forgive, and to share.”

Charlotte Owen, Headmistress
