Runway’s End 2025

Year 4 have returned from a fabulous residential trip to Runway’s End Outdoor Centre, in Aldershot.

This annual visit is a wonderful way to cement friendships, learn to work together as a team, and have great fun.

Summarising their experience, two Year 4 girls proudly wrote the following:

‘In the first week back, Year 4 went on their residential trip to Runway’s End, and it was a lot of fun! On day one, after we arrived, we had lunch and then did an activity called Egg Drop, and then we could see our pods which were little huts in which we stayed. Dinner was amazing that night. We had a chef called Dom and the food was scrumptious! On day two we woke up at 7:30 in time for breakfast. For our activities, the two groups did canoeing and caving. After the activities we had lunch, and then we did the other activities which were fire lighting and archery. It was so amusing and fun, and we also toasted marshmallows and made hot chocolate! The next day – the last day – we enjoyed our morning activities: low ropes and rock climbing. After the activities we had time to go back to our pods and clear everything, leaving them spotless! Then we hopped onto the coach to go back to St Mary’s. What a great trip!’

Welcome to St Mary’s School, Hampstead

Our school strives to nurture an active partnership between home, school, parish, and the wider North London community. Situated in one of London’s most affluent and scenic areas, our school is an excellent choice for families in North London who want their daughters to receive a premier education in a safe, nurturing, and inspiring locale.

“Our St Mary’s Way is the spirit by which we live: to treat other people as you would like to be treated, to do your best to be your best, to be honest and truthful, to listen to each other, to be kind and helpful, to forgive, and to share.”

Charlotte Owen, Headmistress
Pope Francis 1936 - 2025

We give thanks for the life of Pope Francis, who faithfully led the Catholic Church in the spirit of servant leadership, humility, love, and with continual compassion for and alliance with the poor and marginalised.

‘The legacy he leaves is one we must seek to carry forward and strengthen’ – Cardinal Vincent Nichols

May he now rest in peace and rise in glory.
