Huge congratulations to Mrs Connor-Earl and her son on completing their 25km walk on Easter Saturday to raise money for the Rainbow Children’s Trust.
“Every year we make a Lenten promise and this year my son suggested that we take part in a sponsored walk. He also came up with the idea of asking Anoushka to nominate which charity she would like us to raise money for. Anoushka chose the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity as they have helped support her and her family over the past three years.
“On the day, the weather was surprisingly hot which made the challenge tougher than expected. When our motivation flagged we kept reminding ourselves: ‘Do your best to be your best’ and this helped us battle through the pain from our blisters!
“I was extremely proud that we completed our walk in just 4 hours and 20 minutes, coming 25th overall out of over 650 participants.
“Thank you so much for to everyone for their support and incredibly generous donations. I’m overjoyed that we’ve raised over £1,000 for The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity which far exceeds my original target.”
