St. Mary’s is delighted to have been selected to take part in the Camden & Brent Business Climate Challenge, a voluntary energy efficiency programme that will support up to 125 businesses save on energy costs and cut carbon emissions. The programme is being delivered by the Camden Climate Alliance in partnership with Brent Council and The Fitzrovia Partnership.
By taking part in the programme, we have committed to reduce our energy consumption by a minimum of 10% in the next year. To help us do this we’ll be receiving high quality technical energy efficiency support from specialist consultants WSP and Turner & Townsend to identify how we can make our workplace building more energy efficiency and achieve cost and carbon savings.
The programme will support our existing commitments to sustainability and the environment, as part of our school development plan.
St. Mary’s will also gain access to a number of trainings that will cover topics such as energy management, waste and behaviour change to aid our understanding and engage our employees and networks.
We’ll also get the chance to meet and learn from other businesses moving through the programme, and connect with businesses who previously took part in the Mayor London’s Business Climate Challenge 2022-23 and have achieved savings.
We’re excited to be joining a community of SMEs from across Camden, Brent and The Fitzrovia Partnership to play our part in tackling the climate crisis locally by reducing our business’ carbon emissions.
