Year 5 visit Runway’s End

Our Year 5 girls have recently returned from their annual residential trip to Runway’s End, an outdoor activity centre in Hampshire. They had a magical time and enjoyed the opportunity to cement friendships, build on their teamwork, and have lots of fun!

“We did a lot of activities including caving, rock climbing, abseiling and more. Personally, my favourite activity was caving, as I don’t really like the water sports at all! On the trip, we faced our fears; I feel thankful for the teachers and my friends encouraging us all. Overall, the three days away felt short as we were quite busy during our days. Sometimes too busy to even miss our parents! We will miss being at Runway’s End.” By Reese, 5SG

“My favourite activities were Air Rifle Shooting because I thought it was fun and I found out I was good at it! My other favourite was Kayaking, because I found it tricky at first, but when we got the hang of this it was fun and we got splashed. Some of the other activities included: Canoeing, Raft Building, Archery, Shelter Building and Fire Lighting. Our evening activities after supper were orienteering, scavenger hunts and, because it was raining, we ran a quiz instead of build a campfire.” By Sarah, 5SG
